VYPE: What does your team and teammates mean to you?
Stocksen: I grew up playing with many of the girls on my team and they are some of my closest friends. I am so thankful for the relationships I have made through basketball. My teammates challenge me every day and they are one of the main reasons I look forward to stepping on the court. I wouldn’t want to play with anyone else.
VYPE: What does it mean to you to be called the unsung hero of the team and how do you define that term?
Stocksen: It’s an honor to be named the unsung hero of the team. To me it means to be a selfless player and not be focused on the glory or praise. It’s about having the chance to go out and play your hardest for your teammates and not for yourself.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what are your plans after you graduate?
Stocksen: I’m a senior and I plan to attend the University of Oklahoma in the fall.
