VYPE: What are your personal goals this year and how is the season going?
Lauren: To be the best teammate I can and to grow as a soccer player mentally and technically. Our season is looking really good. We host our first round of playoffs, and the team is super excited.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Lauren: The most fun I have had in the last year is either hanging out with my teammates on trips or spending time at the lake with friends and family.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Lauren: My favorite teacher was Blankenship in fourth grade. She left a huge impression on me.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Lauren: When I scored four goals in my first varsity game as a freshman. It was a very surreal moment and just very fun to be able to celebrate it with my teammates.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Lauren: Kassidy Collins left the biggest impression on me. She was a senior my freshman year. Being young and playing against older and bigger girls can be scary but she was there before every game to calm my nerves and build up my confidence.
VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?
Lauren: Delana King has the best impressions and Abby Davis never fails to make me giggle during games.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Lauren: I would have to go to Greece and take my best friends Erin and Macey.
VYPE: If we gave you 500 dollars and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?
Lauren: I would buy a pair of Jordans.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Lauren: There are so many people I could thank for pouring into my soccer career without a doubt, my parents for the long drives, weekends, and sacrifices they have made so I can do what I love. My sister for tagging along when she isn’t playing herself. Next every coach that has pushed me to be the player I am. Coach Lewis Amos and Yolanda Thomas at Tulsa Soccer Club for helping me pursue my dream of playing at the next level. And Coach Bowers, Miller, and Chavez at Owasso. They never fail to challenge me and have made me a better player and person. Lastly, every teammate, friend, and family member that has supported me and cheered me on. It means the world.
