The Owasso Rams Sports Medicine Team provides expert coverage for Owasso athletes both on and off the field.
The Ram Sports Medicine Team is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient-centered care for all athletic injuries and disorders.
The Sports Medicine Team consists of two Athletic Trainers, Zach McGinty, and Destri Millsap, who work under the direction of the official Sports Medicine providers, Tulsa Bone & Joint Associates, and Ascension St. John Owasso. Dr. Jason Griffin and Dr. Caleb A. Nunley are orthopedic specialists that serve as the Team Physicians for the Ram Sports Medicine Team. They diagnose and treat a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions at Tulsa Bone & Joint Owasso.
Zach McGinty starts his 3rd year at Owasso. Before coming to Owasso, Zach served on staff at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, MidAmerica Nazarene University (Olathe, KS), and the University of Central Oklahoma (Edmond, OK). He received a B.S. in Athletic Training from Oklahoma State University. Zach is a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and holds a certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Zach and his wife Kayla reside in Owasso with their 6-year-old son Maverick and their daughter Hallie, who was born in February of 2020.
Destri Millsap attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University on a rodeo scholarship where he received his bachelors in Health and Sports Science. He then attended the University of Central Oklahoma receiving his masters in athletic training and did an internship with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Destri has worked with Owasso Athletics since 2017 and has been a certified athletic trainer since 2014. Destri and his wife Jordan, live out in the country where they both continue to rodeo and train horses.
